The third season of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) was initially supposed to take place in August, however Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) chose to postpone the T20 competition indefinitely due to the nation’s bad economic situation and political upheaval.
The league is returning, though, and will offer spectators first-rate entertainment for a full 17 days to enthral cricket lovers. Five teams will compete in up to 24 double round-robin matches spread over three Sri Lankan locations.
Jaffna Kings won the last Lanka Premier League (LPL) season by defeating Galle Gladiators by 23 runs in the championship game. Jaffna Kings successfully defended their LPL championship with the victory.
