The 13th edition of the Men’s Cricket World Cup, the ICC World Cup 2023, will take place between October 2023 and November 26th, 2023. India would be hosting the complete ICC World Cup for the first time. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event’s original dates of 9 February to 26 March 2023 had to be changed to October and November 2023.
After co-hosting tournaments in 1987 (with Pakistan), 1996 (with West Pakistan and Ceylon), and 2011, this could be the first time India has hosted the event on its own (with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh).

Format
The ICC Cricket World Cup in 2023 should have 10 teams, just like it did in 2019. Similar to the 1992 and 2019 cricket world cups, each team will play the other teams in a round-robin (randomly picked team) format. The top two teams from a semi-final between four teams will advance to the final.
Qualification
The top 8 teams, including the host team India, will automatically qualify, while the remaining 2 teams will be chosen for the 2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League games.
